Oma, The Label

Oma The Label is a brand challenging industry standards while creating quality pieces that can become staples in anyone’s wardrobe. Created by New York-based fashion stylist Neumi Anekhe in 2018, Oma The Label was created after Neumi saw a significant lack of POC representation within the fashion industry. She sought to create a brand that would not only provide high-quality fashion pieces but also further diversify the imagery and representation that have dominated modern fashion.

Hailing from Long Beach, CA, where she currently resides, Courtney Warwick is a true book lover, carrying one with her wherever she goes. A west coast girl to her core, hip hop is ingrained in her soul. She’s been able to merge her love of hip hop and plants with the creation of her brand, ‘I Rap To My Plants,’ where she sells various home goods. Through her BlkGirlGrnThumb Instagram account, Courtney is at home, “I feel like I’ve finally found my true calling. I can share my love of my kids, plants, and hip hop with people in one place. I don’t have to choose. I can just be me – my whole self.”

As a licensed optician, Utenzi Miller is the driving force behind the daily operations of Elegant Eyes, Inc. As a graduate of the Essex County College Ophthalmic Dispensing program, Utenzi knows a thing or two about style-savvy specs as a visual stylist and entrepreneur. Utenzi has made it her mission to help people “discover their eye-dentity” with fashionable frames for anyone. To accomplish this, Utenzi makes it a priority to know her industry inside and out, dedicating herself wholly to her business with passion and purpose.
